What Website?

I’ve had a few conversations recently that have brought a question to my mind that I wanted to pose to the group:

Which services do you use exclusively on your phone?

These could either be as apps or mobile websites.

Not that they don’t have traditional websites, but I find I prefer to access these services via my phone and can count on both hands the number of time’s I’ve gone to their websites on my laptop’s browser:

  • EchoFon (literally didn’t know they had a website until this morning)
  • Foursquare (this may changes as they add features, but I really want them in the app or optimized for a mobile browser)
  • Facebook (I find the site unbearably cluttered, the app is so much cleaner)
  • Runkeeper (there are a few things you can’t get in the app that I’ll check on the site infrequently, but I really want it all in the app)
  • LoseIt (didn’t even have a website until recently)
  • TripIt (everything I need is in the app)
  • Gilt Group (the iPhone app is just so much more enjoyable to use than the site)
  • Flickr (tho I still visit the site, the app is getting really good)
  • Snowbird (gives me everything I used to have to go to the site to get)
  • Google Reader (I like the mobile version so well, its the only way I access it)
  • Gmail (a secondary account for me that I prefer accessing from a mobile browser)
  • Favstar (I dig this site in a mobile browser, but I understand the Favit app is pretty hot too)

There is a much longer list of services I wish had better apps or mobile websites (yeah, I’m lookin’ at you Tumblr).

Am I alone in this or are there services out there that you only access via your phone? If so, I’d like to know which ones.
