A feature I’d overlooked in one of my favorite apps today served to remind me why the reinvention of the mobile experience is such a fun and interesting place to spend time these days.
Note the feature I enabled which lets you “Shake to Reload” in EchoFon. Awesome! Why hit a boring old refresh button when I can shake it. There are plenty of times I’ve wanted to shake my laptop, but usually out of frustration rather than to induce joy.
But there is a lot of joy to be had in these apps. The touch interfaces, the different sensors and inputs all lay the foundation for new ways of imaging how we interact each other and these devices. Finding this feature in the settings on EchoFon was a nice little reminder to me of that.
